Worth the Wait

After two long years our little princess is finally home. That is two years, 24 months, 104 weeks and 728 days of waiting. After countless prayers to God to open our hearts to the orphans, overwhelming piles of paperwork, Doctor appointments, finger print appointments, trips to Columbus for Dossier paperwork, stressful money situations, negative comments that would brake our hearts, two trips to Africa, paperwork, heavy hearts that were missing our daughter and did I mention paperwork??? She is FINALLY home! Praise God! She is worth every second we waited.
We are thrilled with our family of five! Looking forward to blogging about about her journey home! Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers....We felt them!

Laundry drying in the fresh breeze...yes that is the gutter there drying on :) Do you notice the little dresses??

This week is all about spending time with my boys and enjoying the moments. This week will go fast and yet so very slow! A week from today I will have custody of our precious daughter!

I want to thank you ALL SO MUCH for your love and support. We raised $2,500 for Kora! And thank you to some sweet friends (You know who you are) who sent a large check and almost paid for Gracie's ticket! WOW! We are ever so grateful! Looking forward to telling Gracie someday about all of our friends that supported us in this journey! We totally found out who our true friends were through this process....they showed us that no matter what road the Lord calls us on, that they will BE THERE praying supporting and loving us...we will forever be grateful. May God bless each one of you who supported us! We love you all!

Heres To My Brother

" Here's to My brother, Remember every day,
No matter what I've said, here's what I'd like to say,
I will Always Love you, Be with you to the end,
When no one else is around, I will be your friend,
'Cause I love my brother, and I always will,
I'm proud to be your sister, that's how I feel,
And someday when were far away and the miles keep us apart,
You will discover, I love my brother and you'll know it in your heart." -Heidi Chapman

If your reading this Brent, just know that I love you so so much! {{I miss you so much}}

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE GOT CLEARED AT THE EMBASSY!!!!!

This morning I got a very exciting email from the Embassy telling us we were cleared and to pick three dates!!!

I emailed back September 20th, 21st, and 22nd. My case manager said we wont hear back until Tuesday!

I have already contacted our travel agent to make sure that flight are going out around that time.

SO that means....in a couple weeks....Lord willing...I will be making the long journey to the land that I love to finally get my daughter in my arms for good...

PRAYER REQUESTS :

*Please pray for my traveling safety...this looks so huge to me to fly by myself...but for unspoken reasons we have decided that this is what is best for our family.

*Please pray for Gracie as she leaves her country and adjust to a new home and a new family.

*Please pray for my husband and boys as I leave that they will have a organized, non-stressful week without me :)

*Please pray for my health. It would be no fun to get sick and be in charge of Gracie

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR LOVE AND PRAYERS. WE LOVE YOU BACK AND THIS WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT YOU LOVE AND SUPPORT!

You are welcome to come to the airport to welcome Gracie home. Unless it is some odd hour of night or morning :) I will post on here our exact arrival :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to thank my Heavenly Father for giving us our daughter! The adoption process is really just beginning and what a peace to know that He is already there. We love you so much Jesus!

I'm A New Aunt!!!!!!!

Last Sunday Morning my cute little niece was born.

It is amazing to me how fast the little baby stage goes by. Not to long ago my busy boys were little bundles of sleeping sweetness. I LOVE the newborn stage.

Makel Rose
The happy Mommy and Daddy. Congratulations you two on your precious new bundle of joy. May God continue to bless your growing family! We love you so much!
