Idle Hour Ranch

Because my dad is out of town and my husband is ALWAYS (thank you Lord for work) working, My mom and I took the boys to the Idle Hour Ranch, which is 3 minutes or less from my moms house. The main attraction for us is Sam the giraffe, but the other animals are always fun to look at. It was a beautiful day and we had fun just meandering around looking at the animals.

Hey piggy!
Goats
Camels
SAM! He is the coolest giraffe! You climb up a flight of stairs so you can feed him bread and get a good look at his face.

Brysen loved the baby goats
My mom and I named this goat the "Old Conference Goat" >> inside joke :)

We finished our afternoon off with popsicles. It was a great way to spend a lazy Saturday.

*Bread is baking in my oven and laundry is drying on the line. Time to get lunch for my growing boys! So excited to go shopping with my mom tonight! Happy Wednesday Y'all!!

Salsa Day!

My Mother and I made Salsa last Wednesday. My Mother-n-law kept the boys so we could get it all done! We had so much fun chatting and chopping away at all the veges.

Here is the recipe that we used...

14 pounds of tomatoes
2 1/2 pounds of onions
10 green peppers
6 hot peppers
3 whole cloves
2 T chili powder
2 tsp Oregano
1 1/2 tsp Cummin
1/4 cup Salt
1/2 cup Sugar
1 cup Vinegar
6 Garlic Cloves
1 cup of Clear Jello to 1 cup of water
Add everything together and cook to a boil. Add the clear jell and cook 10 min. Hot water bath for 20 min. Makes 10 pints

YUM! :) Have a great weekend y'all

Britton's 27th Birthday

Yesterday was Britton's birthday. So after taking Carter to school, Brysen and I came home and made his birthday cake. Brysen mainly helped lick the icing off the whisk :)
After naps the boys made birthday cards for him

The birthday man :)
Menu: Pizza, fruit and cake
Texas Vanilla Sheet cake by request

I am so thankful for a Godly hard working man in my life. When I was growing up one of the things I wanted in a husband was a hard worker like my dad. Britton comes home after a hard day at work and plays with the boys and helps me with what I need help with. I couldn't be the person I am today without him. I love you so very much Hon! You make a wonderful Daddy to our two boys and our soon to be daughter. Thank you so much for everything you do!

Picnic in the van
We had such a good weekend! Our boys were exhausted by Sunday. And I was just as tired after 10 loads of laundry and putting everything away...whew! It is always worth it though!
